Classroom or Lab Technology Help
Instructors, call 713.348.4989 directly to page one of our Education Technology (EdTech) support specialists between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
IT Help for Undergraduate Students
Rice undergraduate students may need help with their personal computers at different times than Rice faculty, staff and graduate students. Peer assistance is available through IT Ambassadors in each residential college as well as Student Computing Consultants
(SCCs) in the Help Desk. IT Ambassadors can direct undergraduate students to appropriate resources but do not work on computers. SCCs are trained in basic computer repair by professional Help Desk team members and continue their training by working
several hours each week inside the Help Desk.
IT Workshops and Training
Various IT teams offer Rice-specific training workshops and brown bag informational sessions on topics like how to use OWL-Space or the classroom podiums and how to debug code on Rice's high performance computing clusters.
